Terms and Conditions for Kettner & G House of Glass: Glassblowing Classes

 

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before participating in our glass blowing classes. These terms are designed to ensure your safety and the safety of others, and to outline the potential hazards associated with glassblowing. By enrolling in our classes, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions:

 

1. Assumption of Risk:

• Glassblowing involves working with high temperatures, fragile materials, and hazardous tools. By participating in our classes, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with glassblowing.

• You understand that accidents and injuries can occur during the glassblowing process, despite the implementation of safety measures.

 

2. Participant Responsibilities:

• It is your responsibility to follow all safety instructions provided by our instructors and staff.

• You must adhere to the safety guidelines, procedures, and precautions communicated to you during the classes.

• You are responsible for using the provided safety equipment appropriately and wearing protective gear as directed.

 

3. Safety Precautions:

• Our instructors will provide comprehensive safety instructions before each glassblowing activity. It is important to pay attention, ask questions if necessary, and follow the instructions carefully.

• You must use the provided safety equipment, such as eye protection, as required during the glassblowing process.

• Report any safety concerns, hazards, or accidents immediately to the instructor or staff.

• You must watch the mandatory video below that goes over basic information about what to expect to see in a glass shop.

4. Physical Fitness and Health Conditions:

• Glassblowing requires physical exertion and may involve standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a hot environment.

• By enrolling in our classes, you confirm that you are physically capable of participating in the activities involved in glassblowing.

• If you have any pre-existing health conditions, allergies, or other medical concerns that could affect your ability to safely participate in glassblowing, it is your responsibility to inform our instructors prior to the start of the class.

5. Liability and Release:

• You hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Kettner & G Tabacaria and its instructors, employees, and affiliates from any liability, claims, demands, or actions arising out of or related to your participation in glassblowing classes.

• This release includes, but is not limited to, any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from accidents, negligence, or any other cause during the glassblowing classes.

 

6. Personal Belongings:

• Kettner & G Tabacaria is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to your personal belongings during the glassblowing classes. Please secure your belongings in designated areas.

 

7. Photography and Media:

•  During the glassblowing classes, Kettner & G Tabacaria may take photographs or videos for promotional and educational purposes. By participating in the classes, you grant Kettner & G Tabacaria the right to use such media without any compensation to you.

 

8. Changes and Cancellations:

•   Kettner & G Tabacaria reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel glassblowing classes due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to instructor unavailability or facility issues. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements or refunds.

• Once payment for the glassblowing classes has been made, it is non-refundable. In the event that you are unable to attend a scheduled class, no refunds will be provided. However, if there are exceptional circumstances beyond your control, you may contact us to discuss the possibility of rescheduling the class to a later date, subject to availability.
